Sar Hor Fun

Ta-da!

Carol and I cooked Ipoh Sar Hor Fun o! But it’s a bit not as expected, perhaps it’s because I screwed up the shrimp oil, or perhaps it’s the hor fun itself that has a faulty texture, but anyhow, I’m satisfied! I’ll try it again, when I've finally figure out how to make the authentic soup base. haha. Next up, I wanna challenge Oh-jian but BIG possibility I’ll fail that. haha! Oh btw, my study mood kicked in; my talkative mood is leaving, I’m so pathetic now! Guess I’ll have to console myself by saying it’s good for my coming exams? …….

Anyway, will be having my second picnic tomorrow, with sandwiches, sushi, tiramisu and fruit cake! o.O! I'll definitely exceed my calories quota by A LOT. But hey, it’s a happy weekend, Jecerlyn’s boyfriend came over to UK to see her (woah!), so sweet right? I wonder where’s my Mr. Right? Or perhaps I'll just never find one. Really, I don’t mind him being left-handed. Lol, that was a joke.

Valentine’s Day Syndrome

大家！新年快乐！情人节快乐！

终于又是令人又爱又恨情人节。我们家的人[66]一大早就有那 Pre-Valentine’s Day Syndrome 了，其中就以卓依为首，她老早就在那里兴奋得不得了！哈哈…… 情人是没有啦，红色心性气球倒是有一粒，搭巴士回家时还觉得颇尴尬的，不过我想，大家投来的是羡慕的眼光吧？哈哈…… 阿Q精神的代言人！

原来一些无心的玩笑是的开不得，你认为很单纯的事情，别人可不这么认为，真的是说者无心，听者有意；不过“灰仔”的加入，扩大了小熊家族。对于那样的发展，也只能让它这样了。 。看到有些朋友为了单身的事情烦恼，真的很想说，不用担心的，你们这么善良，一定会遇到最适合自己的那位；现在没有，只是因为时机不对，反正缘分这么玄的东西，是我们都无法掌握的，就随缘吧！

发觉自己原来还是会有陷入很负面情绪而又不能自救的时候，甚至连睡眠和甜食也无法令我动心！还让我足足没胃口吃东西了好几天，连我自己都会开始害怕。然后才察觉到自己原来每次有事情时，都会选择自己尝试去解决；当事情发展到自己无法控制的地步时才会向别人倾诉或求救。这么倔强的个性，我还是第一次正视它。

哦，对了！知道我情人节和谁约会去吗？就是 …… …… …… …… …… …… 和卓依参与了我们大学佛学会的第二次佛学班！真的很开心耶！虽然讲的都浅白，可是都是和我们生活息息相关的课题；讲师不需要大条道理也可以解释地很贴切。能在这里和一群对佛法有着浓厚兴趣的法侣听闻佛法，真的很法喜！今天我们还去报名哦！所以我们是UoB Buddhist Meditation Society 的一分子了！哈哈…… 希望自己不会再懒散下去，要更精进用功才行！

无论如何，这阵子以来的心得：凡事不能强求的，就随缘吧；只要是自己问心无愧，就不需要担心别人怎样对我们，反正我们也控制不了嘛~ 呵呵……

Sleeper

I think I fall in love with sleeping recently. I had more than 8 hours rest and still I feel tired. I’m not sure whether it’s physically or mentally though. But hey, at least with sleeping, there are hopes for me having good dreams! And really, trying to solve an unsolvable problem is a waste of time, sleeping is a good way out. Let’s hibernate! haha.

The start of a new semester

I wanted to put “The end of Inter-semester break” as my post title initially, but figure I should write something positive because it’s still Chinese New Year. Since we can always choose the way we put our words, either positively or negatively, why not positive, right? Hehe.

So as you can see, today is the first day of a new semester. Started off with getting up from bed very reluctantly, continued by getting on a brand new bus service- Orange bus(First group), followed by 4 series of lecture with a 2-hours-break in between and ended with attending Buddhist Meditation Society’s weekly gathering! Everything is just nice and could have been a little bit better if I get enough sleep. lol.

Anyway, talking about the just-ended-inter-semester-break, I had a really really good holiday back then! Went to Oxford for a day trip with Andrew’s friend, Keiran as our tour guide. Then, the very lovely gang of Mancunians friends came over for the weekend in conjunction with Chinese New Year! Seriously, I couldn’t have been any happier. It’s always comfortable and happy with them around and I enjoy having them here! This will be a really memorable CNY celebration even though I didn’t manage to celebrate it with my family and relatives. Oh btw! I skyped with them on the reunion dinner( with me wearing the pyjamas as I wasn’t informed that I’ll be “brought” to meet my relatives at my grandma’s place =.=’ ), then my nieces all sang CNY songs to me! I’m really touched and happy! I personally don’t like dealing with kids but hey, they’re so adorable when they’re singing with their angelic voice, wearing cheongsam somemore, I have no resistance towards cute things, not to mention cute people! I *heart* all my family and relatives!

There is just one tiny thing bothering me right now, hope I can get my head around it very soon as fyi, my brain is not really for complicated stuffs.

Anyway, people, HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR! All the best and stay healthy!

It started off with sunshine.

Ended with a delicious dinner( 烩饭和焖饭，还有充满妈妈味道的鸡汤 ）, topped up with tiramisu and white chocolate macadamia.

Everything is just nice.

A day away from Bath.

Well, not that I’m not happy to be in Bath, but I think I’ve been in Bath for far too long! I’m always occupied by academic stuffs, friends’ birthday celebrations, outings, gatherings, bla bla bla. And even though I enjoyed myself a lot! I could really use an escape from here for a couple of hours. haha.

So here goes our lovely Saturday. Started off in Oldfield Park Train Station before the break of dawn, reaching London around 10am something.

First stop, Portobello Market. It’s exactly how I remember it the last time I went.

We had crepes and it’s AMAZING! p/s: pictures are in Carol’s camera so I guess I’ll leave it to her to post it up.

Then off we go for lunch. If you happen to go to St. Giles High Street in London, you’ll find 4-5 Korean restaurants next to each other. It’s kinda hard to make a decision as to which shop we should go but since we’ve tried Woo Jung, why not the one next to it right? They are not bad but not the best I’d say.

And not to forget,

Then, we went to Oxford Street. And had waffles!

Really, I like the effort they put in bringing out Christmas feel here. I like the way they decorate the main streets, I like the way the shops put those Christmasy stuffs on their display windows and others! It makes me feel so Christmas! haha.

Our last stop of the day, Winter Wonderland. Due to Carol’s craving for German sausage. It’s GOOD! You’ll easily find the stall as it’s the first stall after you’ve entered into Winter Wonderland.

Another note to add, I like going to Winter Wonderland when it’s not snowing! haha. And we’ll so grateful that we had a warm and lovely Saturday to enjoy! It just made the whole trip even better!

Was tidying up my mobile after a one-hour-crazy-session with my crazy housemates. Seriously, I’m thinking of getting a karaoke set now! Oh! And a polaroid camera! I think I like them better than DSLR now. haha.

I.P. Man

Okay okay, I know it's Ip Man. But initially I really thought the Ip is acronym of something. Then only I realize it's actually his name. =P . Today as usual, I have my candle-light-dinner with Carol and this time we picked Ip Man 1 to watch(we had hard time thinking what to watch all right? =P). I know I'm really slow as in Ip Man 1 was released in 2008 and now only I watch it. Well that's because I don't really expect an martial art film to turn out to be this nice! Perhaps it's because it's a semi-biographical martial art type that make it nice. I personally think that Sammo Hung, the choreographer of the martial art in this film did a great job. I enjoyed watching Donnie Yen performing Wing Chun a lot! And he's a very very responsible, loving and caring husband!!! *Heart melted* p/s: Jerry is still the best! =P

Oh another thing, I saw "aikjin" when we're on our way to the laundry room! Looks like it has been following us from UCSIU to Bath. It loves me more I guess. LOL! And!!! Something is definitely wrong with the washing machine. It was left with 38minutes when we left the laundry room and headed back to room to have dinner. But then, when we reached there after dinner_ 2-hours' movie, it was showing 35minutes! And the machine paused. We stood in front of the machine for a while, wondering what has happened. Then, a guy, a cute and kind guy, in pink shirt and jeans, came near us and told us that our laundry was not done yet and helped us to restart the thing again. Seems like the machine stopped by itself due to unknown reason. Guess we'll have to wait for another 35minutes to wash and another half an hour to tumble dry it.

And revision coming along. A long night today.

p/s: Seriously, war do NO good AT ALL. No wonder when Sandra Bullock said "World Peace" in Miss Congeniality, she received a round applause from the audience. *Claps x3*

怎么说？

I skipped 10238! Reason? I talked, or rather, people talked way too much!!! Went over to friends' flat to settle some stuffs and by the time I managed to crawled back to my room, the clock was showing 5.30am. I was like, ZOMG! What should I do? Continue doing something so that I can go to class straight away at 8.15am? Or just go to bed and wake up for the tutorial? Obviously I made my choice. I'm so so so sorry KY, I know this was your last class but seriously, I'll die if I don't have enough rest! >.< .

So, things went on like this: I slept at 5.30am, woke up half an hour before my tutorial, attended the tutorial, get back to sleep and woke up at 3pm. Then, do my usual thing la- chit chatting with friends until it is time to go for the CSS Leavers' Party. Games and BBQ(It was a BBQ indeed, I thought it was just dinner or something. LOL) until 9pm. N blogged.

My eyelids are too heavy to stay open, so people, I'm going to sleep now. Time shown: 10.30pm. Nice number although I can't really believe myself that I'm actually sleeping early. LOL. ^,*V

BARBECUE

Name it Barbecue season rather than Spring.

Why?

Because I have two upcoming barbecue events!!!

1. On Wednesday, 2pm-5.30pm

2. On Saturday, 1pm-4pm

Last minute adding in of somewhat barbecue-like event:

3. On Friday, Leavers' Party by CSS, 5.30-8pm [p/s: Not a barbecue events, but there are barbecue food served though. LOL]

And I saw numerous people BBQ-ing in front of their flats!

What's more? I received emails from Resident Tutor Support Co-ordinator saying that we can now hire BBQ sets from them.

Wow. But then seriously, this is the best time to go out and enjoy the sun! Perhaps without much of the carcinogenic intake will make the whole thing even better. LOL.

Anyway, enjoy spring, enjoy BBQ!

Brief update

It's Monday. No, I don't have my Monday off like most of my friends do because I have a workshop. I'm somehow "enlightened" of what to do for the analysis using IR spectra, 1H NMR, and mass spectrophotometry. Hmm, a good sign I suppose.

Then, I went to town to do some shopping. Surprisingly, I didn't get anything for myself, I wonder what's wrong with me? Hmmmm. Anyway, Carol and I finally managed to cook a beautiful white sauce for spaghetti as dinner. But we aren't that bad actually, this is only our second attempt. Bravo? haha.

Will be having classes as usual starting from tomorrow. Why am I blogging here? I don't know myself. Just want to relive my blog a bit. But don't take me wrong, I haven't abandon my blog, at least I frequently update my blog playlist. lol.

If only I can choose, I'd rather be the mascot only. Make things simpler, please. The very 2 last things I need in my life now are, relationship and a post in BAMSA. Well ofcourse, exam is always in the list without even have to be mentioned, right? lol

Easter Holiday

Bon Pasqua!!!! I'll been having easter holiday starting from tomorow! Though I have one day extra myself~ haha. Anyway, I'll be off for one week, to Paris and Amsterdam. I know I know, I haven't been updating. But I'm just tied up with too much stuffs! Sorry readers~ hehe. Anyway, I'll be back! LOL.

Halls, Cadbury???

I intended to put a halls candy picture to tell everyone that I'm as coooooooool as halls candy now. Then I found out something, halls is under cadbury? tell me again. Coz I just got to know that. LOL.

Anyway, I'm fine now. Thanks for everyone's concern. There is just so much about myself that I've yet to discover and so much about life that I've yet to learn. Good luck in learning, to myself! hehe.

Oops. Been slacking in updating. Sorry folks.

Anyway, I have a peaceful and relaxing Saturday once again.

Ar~ How nice is it to:

Drink a cup of Neslo(with the right proportion of Nescafe and Milo FINALLY);

Surfing the net;

Taking care of my dogs;

Taking care of my duck who is swimming across the world;

Enjoying the super comfy weather;

And finally, do bits of my revision.

It feels SOOOO good, to have a life, not literally but ya, you get what I mean, don't you? haha.

And I feel exceptionally happy for being able to come up and finalize the P&A itinerary! Just have to deal with some leftover and I'm all done!!

What's next?

Londoners will be visiting next week. Gotta work out the itinerary too. Where to go? Hmph, Chippenham? LOL. I'll see how it goes.

Easter Holiday is rolling up!!! Get some lab reports done and off I go!

Yay!!!! Everything is working out just fine and nice~

Except for a tiny bit, manifesto? Nah, you must be joking me.
